Overview

As a Sr. HR Partner at Amazon, you will be the frontline HR consultant for managers, shaping a positive employee experience through expert guidance on programs, policies, and local regulations. You will partner with HRBPs and managers across businesses to boost manager capability, drive people development and performance processes, and harmonize HR practices. You will influence talent management, employee relations, and program delivery while acting as a credible culture keeper. This role offers impact across diverse teams and initiatives that elevate the employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Support employee relations including non-routine inquiries, disciplinary and performance processes, and exit management
  • Guide managers through end-to-end performance management and talent development initiatives
  • Consult on compensation matters and off-cycle/exception requests
  • Coach managers on difficult conversations, career development plans, and development initiatives
  • Serve as a program manager for people tools, processes, and HR initiatives, delivering cross-functional projects to improve the employee experience
  • Collaborate with managers and HR partners across businesses to harmonize HR practices and share best practices
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of human resource generalist experience
  • Experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law (preferred)
  • Experience coaching and mentoring at the management level
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Experience in handling administrative details independently while keeping the team informed
  • Experience in a matrixed organization (preferred)
