Overview Core Faculty at the Frayser Health Center leads teaching and mentorship for the ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency. You will supervise residents in inpatient and outpatient settings, help design ILPs, and contribute to the residency curriculum and didactics. This role sits within a faith-based health system dedicated to compassionate, underserved care and medical education. You will partner with faculty and leadership to advance resident development in line with CCHS values.

Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical supervision and teaching to residents during rotations in family medicine (inpatient and outpatient)
- Lead and participate in didactic sessions, workshops, case discussions, M&M, and journal clubs
- Assess residents' clinical skills, knowledge, and professionalism; conduct timely evaluations
- Participate in curriculum development, review, and updates with the Program Director and faculty
- Incorporate evidence-based medicine, guidelines, and best practices into the curriculum
- Mentor residents on career development, academic pursuits, and personal growth
- Design and refine residents' Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and monitor progress
- Engage in scholarly activity (clinical research, QI projects, case reports) and support resident involvement
- Serve on Program Evaluation Committee and/or Clinical Competency Committee; complete Annual ACGME Faculty Survey
- Foster an environment conducive to learning and align with the residency's mission and values
Key requirements- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Family Medicine
- Eligibility for Tennessee medical licensure and DEA registration
- Experience in independent, full-spectrum family medicine practice (preferred)
- Prior teaching/mentoring of medical students or residents (preferred)
- Ability to teach in both inpatient and outpatient settings; commitment to underserved care in a Christian clinic context
