Overview

As Radiography Program Director, you will lead the Knoxville Radiography program, guiding its initiation and ongoing quality. You collaborate with faculty to maintain teaching excellence and oversee accreditation efforts and clinical partnerships. You will manage budgets, staffing, and scheduling while shaping interprofessional educational opportunities. This role sits at the heart of a mission-driven, competency-based program that expands student access and outcomes. You will engage with the community to elevate the program's reputation and impact.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with faculty to drive results and maintain standards
  • Lead program initiation, including securing clinical sites
  • Acquire and maintain programmatic accreditation
  • Manage learning site budgets, and recruit/hire/evaluate faculty
  • Organize student advising and faculty teaching loads
  • Plan quarterly class schedules and assessment.
  • Develop interprofessional education partnerships
  • Provide instruction each quarter and coordinate with main campus on planning and assessment
  • Represent the program in the local community
Key requirements
  • Master's degree in radiologic science or related field
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography (in good standing)
  • Minimum 5 years of imaging sciences experience
  • Minimum 2 years of academic appointment with teaching responsibilities
  • Familiarity with JRCERT accreditation processes
  • Curriculum development experience
  • Familiarity with planning, assessment, and evaluation processes
