Overview In this Partner-level role, you will lead and expand a civil litigation practice within a national platform. You will shape growth, mentor attorneys, and drive client relationships across multiple offices in a collaborative firm. You'll manage a substantial docket from assessment to resolution and contribute to firm strategy and business development. This position offers a hybrid work setup and a path to develop leadership presence in a high-quality advocacy environment. You will influence practice direction, SI client outcomes, and cross-office collaboration to scale a civil litigation practice.
Responsibilities- Lead and grow a civil litigation practice in chosen areas with responsibility for client development
- Manage a substantial docket through all phases of litigation and maintain client relationships
- Build significant client relationships, identify growth opportunities, contribute to practice development
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, with oversight and delegation opportunities
- Conduct depositions, court appearances, and other litigation-facing tasks
- Collaborate with colleagues and leadership on case strategy and objectives
- Mentor and supervise junior attorneys on strategy, development, and case management
- Contribute to firm strategy and business development aligned with practice goals
- Support litigation needs across insurance defense, commercial disputes, coverage issues, and general civil matters
- Maintain strong case management and timely progress on assignments
- Foster a collaborative office and firmwide culture focused on advocacy and client service
Key requirements- 10+ years of litigation experience with leadership or substantial caseload management
- Established track record in Labor & Employment litigation or related areas
- Proven ability to draft litigation documents and perform legal analysis
- Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Experience with depositions and court appearances preferred
- Interest in building and scaling a civil litigation practice within a national platform
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment from listed office markets
- Proven business development skills and ability to build client relationships
- Experience mentoring and developing other attorneys
