GENERAL ATTORNEY

In this role you will serve as an attorney within the Office of General Counsel, BLTD, supporting bankruptcy, litigation, and termination matters. You will work closely with cross functional teams to provide legal guidance and support agency decisions. The position offers a chance to contribute to the agency's legal strategy and protect the interests of the pension program. This role appeals to lawyers who want to shape outcomes in complex regulatory proceedings and litigation at the federal level.

• Provide legal counsel on bankruptcy-related issues affecting the agency
• Represent the agency in litigation and enforcement matters as needed
• Draft legal opinions, memoranda, and guidance for internal clients
• Support termination-related processes and due diligence with legal input
• Collaborate with other components of the agency to implement legal strategies
