Overview In this role, you will work within Verizon's policy organization to shape government policy on infrastructure, cybersecurity, privacy, and consumer protection. You'll engage stakeholders across internal teams and external partners to influence outcomes before agencies like the FCC and in Congress. The work blends legal expertise with technology understanding to support secure, innovative communications. You will advise executives, manage policy monitoring, and drive collaborative efforts that benefit Verizon and its customers.

Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze state, federal, and international policy developments
- Build and sustain relationships with internal leaders and external stakeholders
- Represent Verizon before the FCC, Congress, and industry bodies
- Coordinate participation in public-private partnerships on information sharing, security, and consumer protection
Key requirements- JD degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
- Bar membership and licenses
- Experience with cybersecurity, network security, public safety, consumer protection, or law enforcement communities
- Track record engaging complex technical issues in the telecommunications space
- Strong written and oral advocacy
