Overview As a Senior Project Engineer at Jacobs in Poughkeepsie, you will drive on-site project delivery for large building and civil initiatives. You will support the Senior Project Manager with RFI tracking, change orders, cost forecasting, and payments, ensuring client standards are met. You will coordinate trades and design-field staff, monitor QA/QC, safety, and security, and keep projects moving on schedule. Responsibilities- Assist Senior Project Manager with RFI tracking and contract document reviews
- Forecasting, cost scheduling, and preparation of change order reviews
- Review payments and assist with payment applications
- Prepare meeting minutes, regular project reports, and conduct field inspections
- Monitor contractor/subcontractor activities to ensure QA/QC, safety, and security compliance
- Support on-site coordination of trades/design-field staff and progress toward project completion
- Contribute to multiple concurrent projects, from small to large programs
Key requirements- 10+ years of experience on large building construction or civil projects over $10M
- Knowledge of pre-design/pre-construction, delivery systems and components
- Experience inspecting large-scale building construction
- Familiarity with Uniform Building Code
- OSHA 30 certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CPM schedules, Microsoft Project and P6
- Strong computer skills and scheduling application usage
