Overview In this Geologist II role, you contribute to geologic and hydrologic investigations and contaminated site remediation within HDR's Waste sector. You will work on diverse projects locally and nationally, applying geoscience methods to support design options and environmental stewardship. You'll collaborate with teams to deliver field-driven analyses and recommendations that advance sustainable waste infrastructure. Responsibilities- Assist with geologic and hydrologic studies, including field work and other hydrologic/geologic/geophysical tasks locally and nationally
- Assist with contaminated site remediation tasks
- Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and help prepare service deliverable documents
- Perform assignments with moderately complex objectives and limited variables
- Work independently on medium-size projects or support more-senior scientists on larger projects
- Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology or a closely related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Prior field work experience
- Experience with well installation techniques and groundwater and soil sampling procedures and analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions
- May require travel
