Overview

In this role you will lead field-oriented geotechnical site investigations in remote settings, aligning with environmental regulations and Fugro's safety priorities. You will manage projects, coordinate subcontractors, report findings, and support business development through client management and proposals. Expect hands-on logging, sampling, and data entry, with travel to nearshore, coastal, and potentially contaminated sites. You will work within cross-functional teams to deliver site characterization that informs engineering decisions and risk assessment. Responsibilities
  • Lead by example on quality, safety, and environmental protection
  • Assist in project and operational tasks and coordinate drilling access and permits
  • Coordinate with drillers, property owners, and agencies to schedule activities
  • Acquire field geotechnical skills and apply procedures per criteria
  • Perform routine technical work and prepare boring logs and in-situ tests
  • Handle logging, sampling, and data entry with laboratory support
  • Travel as required and perform other assigned duties
Key requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
  • Bachelor in Geology (Master preferred) with understanding of natural resources and environmental science
  • Computer literate and able to learn software for communication and analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication; technical writing preferred
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
  • Willingness to work overwater, on contaminated sites, and 12-hour days as needed
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR
