Overview

As a Buyer, you will shape seasonal assortments and business strategies to drive sales and profits for your department, aligned with divisional leadership. You will partner with design, sourcing, inventory, and stores to ensure timely, data-informed product selections and in-store/ online execution. You will identify opportunities, manage pricing, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives to elevate assortment quality and customer engagement. This role offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on trend analysis and strategic planning.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and present sales trends to leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Develop annual and seasonal merchandising strategies for assigned departments
  • Select seasonal and core product assortments in collaboration with the design team
  • Collaborate with Inventory Management on financial plans and seasonal assortment rankings
  • Coordinate with Sourcing on cost negotiations, flow, and production for new programs
  • Lead product development meetings and provide feedback on design and packaging
  • Propose promotional opportunities to drive sales and engagement
  • Execute SKU creation and updates; communicate product items and digital marketing plans
  • Inform field on in-store promotions, markdowns, and visual merchandising execution
  • Maintain supplier relationships and resolve product or service issues
  • Coordinate communication with Store Operations and Store Web teams
Key requirements
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of Buying/Merchandising experience
  • Proven management experience
  • Advanced retail math skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Operate in PLM System
  • Strong eye for product and elevated taste level
