Overview As Jira Developer/Administrator in Arlington, you will optimize Jira and Confluence configurations and automate workflows to support agile programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to govern processes, implement migrations, and strengthen security and governance across self-hosted Atlassian environments. Your work will enable data-driven insights through dashboards, reporting, and JQL-driven analytics for program leadership. This role combines hands-on administration with training and knowledge sharing to empower federal and commercial stakeholders. Responsibilities- Analyze current Jira/Confluence setups to identify workflow and process improvements
- Administer Jira, Confluence, and plugins such as ScriptRunner and Jira Automation
- Manage users, groups, permissions, and perform security audits
- Perform backups, re-indexes, patching, upgrades, and plugin management
- Test new Atlassian releases for compatibility and stability
- Create dashboards, filters, automations, and reporting for stakeholders
- Lead or support Atlassian migrations, consolidations, and integrations
- Maintain security governance and conduct regular audits
- Create documentation including workflows, CONOPS, and user guides
- Provide training and knowledge sharing to internal teams and partners
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align Jira processes with Agile methodologies
- Leverage Jira data for analytics, performance tracking, and incident reporting
Key requirements- 8+ years of relevant experience with Atlassian environments, including federal/commercial exposure
- Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance and IAT Level II Certification
- 3+ years administering Jira and Confluence in enterprise environments
- Experience designing dashboards, filters, and JQL
- Experience backups, audits, re-indexes, and documenting SOPs
- Experience Atlassian installations, upgrades, migrations, and consolidations
- Experience integrating Atlassian tools with AWS
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience supporting Agile delivery environments (Agile, SAFe)
