Lead Contracts Administrator

Overview

In this role you will lead contracts activities to support government customers and mission-critical capabilities. You will serve as the primary contact for contractual matters, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and customer requirements while guiding program teams. You will manage contract records, coordinate cross-functionally, and drive timely delivery of contractual commitments. You will shape agreements, negotiations, and subcontracting efforts to enable successful proposals and programs. This position offers exposure to high-impact government contracting processes and the chance to influence how the organization partners with the intelligence community.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for contractual matters on assigned contracts and projects
  • Draft and execute internal and external contractual correspondence with increasing autonomy
  • Maintain contractual records and serve as repository for all documentation
  • Track contracts, amendments, and performance milestones, coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate contract lifecycle activities with Program Management, Project Control, Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Perform cradle-to-grave subcontract administration, including developing and negotiating subcontract agreements
  • Support and lead proposal activities, including analysis of solicitations, pricing volumes, and risk assessment
  • Research contract language and seek guidance on complex terms from VP - Contracts
  • Negotiate routine to moderately complex contracts under supervision
Key requirements
  • Bachelor degree with 8 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of government acquisition process
  • Cost Type / Cost-Plus and Firm Fixed Price contract experience
  • Prime and Subcontractor experience
  • Excellent knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations
  • Experience with agreements beyond contracts (NDAs, PIA, Teaming Agreements)
  • Working knowledge of government cost accounting and budgeting
  • Experience in Cost / Price Analysis
  • Excellent negotiation, oral, and written communication skills
  • Understanding of CPSR Audit requirements
  • Experience managing Small Business Subcontracting Plans
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; high-paced, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Strong planning, decision-making, relationship-building, and coaching skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance (potential polygraph)
