Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst

Overview

In this role you will design, analyze, and validate sales incentive programs to align with business objectives and sales strategy. You will collaborate with Sales, Finance, HR, and Sales Operations to refine complex plan components and ensure accurate, timely bonuses. You will perform data-driven analyses of performance, quotas, and payouts to assess plan effectiveness and inform recommendations. You will build incentive models, stress-test designs, and develop clear dashboards and documentation to support governance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and refine sales incentive plans
  • Administer incentive plans with accurate bonus calculations and controls
  • Analyze sales performance, attainment trends, quotas, and payout outcomes
  • Build and refine incentive models and payout scenarios
  • Validate plan designs through data reviews and risk analysis
  • Prepare dashboards, scorecards, and ad hoc analyses for monitoring and decision support
  • Identify data inconsistencies and inefficiencies; recommend improvements
  • Document incentive structures, metrics, eligibility rules, and governance standards
  • Research incentive practices and benchmark data to support design discussions
  • Support annual and mid-year plan design cycles and assess financial/behavioral impact
  • Collaborate on incentive system initiatives including requirements, testing, and data validation
  • Develop communications, job aids, and training materials for plan mechanics
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts on complex issues
  • Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced Excel skills (preferred)
  • Power BI experience (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • High integrity and discretion with confidential data
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Suite
  • Flexible, team-oriented, able to handle multiple projects
