Overview As a Legal Advisor to the Navy's Office of the General Counsel, you provide counsel on roles within the Navy and Marine Corps and ensure regulatory compliance. You'll support talent development initiatives, including 360-degree assessments, and help translate assessment insights into development strategies. You'll collaborate with OGC and engage with senior leadership to optimize attorney-client communications and stay current on changing laws. This role combines legal expertise with workforce development in a government-facing setting, offering meaningful impact at scale.

Responsibilities- Provide legal counsel to OGC personnel on roles within Navy/Marine Corps.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across activities.
- Collaborate with Assessment Facilitator and Data Analyst on 360-degree assessments for OGC personnel.
- Review assessment results to guide talent development strategies.
- Participate in discussions with the PDGC on administering and interpreting 360-degree assessments.
- Enhance attorney-client relationships and improve legal communication within OGC.
- Stay updated on legal changes and advise on their impact to OGC practices.
- Provide legal support to PDGC and GC as needed.
Key requirements- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
- Proven experience in providing legal counsel and advisory services.
- Knowledge of personnel or talent development concepts is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Collaborative mindset for cross-team work.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving for legal challenges.
