Overview

In this role you lead landscape and master planning efforts, applying urban design to campus, district, and community scales. You work within a multidisciplinary team across architecture, planning, and construction to deliver cohesive, actionable site visions. You will contribute to planning, zoning, entitlement, and community engagement, shaping landscapes that connect people with their surroundings. This position offers growth within a collaborative design-build environment and opportunities to influence projects nationwide.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support landscape and master planning projects from concept to construction
  • Contribute urban planning/design expertise to cohesive site, district, and campus visions
  • Collaborate across disciplines to integrate design and constructability
  • Support business development through proposals, presentations, and pursuit strategies
  • Provide input on planning, zoning, entitlement, environmental design, and community engagement
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure deliverable quality and consistency
  • Represent LJC and Clayco at industry events and community meetings
  • Mentor and contribute to practice growth within the team
  • Uphold integrity, humility, and fearlessness in interactions and work
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture, urban planning, or urban design
  • Professional landscape architect (PLA) licensure
  • Proficiency with AutoDesk (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • GIS (ArcView, ArcGIS)
  • Modeling tools (Rhino, SketchUp)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach colleagues
  • Experience in urban planning and urban design a plus
