Overview In this role you will support Pillsbury's New York aviation finance practice by handling complex financing, leasing and related transactions for banks, airlines, and investors. You will manage large-scale financings, draft and negotiate key documents, and advise clients on interpretation and strategy. You will collaborate with cross functional teams while maintaining independent accountability, contributing to the firm's leadership in aviation finance. A strong academic background and exceptional drafting are expected, with NY bar admission as a prerequisite.
Responsibilities- Manage and close $100+ million financing transactions
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements, indentures, leases, purchase agreements and related documentation
- Advise clients on interpretation of documents, orally and in writing
- Understand aviation finance and leasing industry and related corporate matters
- Collaborate with multiple internal and external clients and manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Assist with export credit agency financing and capital markets transactions when relevant
Key requirements- Experience with secured, unsecured and guaranteed financing transactions
- Knowledge of Article 9 UCC and the Cape Town Convention
- Ability to advise on documents orally and in writing
- Understanding of aviation finance and leasing industry
- Admitted to and in good standing of the New York bar
- Strong drafting, negotiating and organizational skills
