Overview As Head of Product, Legal at Polymarket, you bridge product and regulatory needs to move fast without compromising compliance. You review new market concepts and features for regulatory viability, shaping what the product can and cannot ship. You translate legal constraints into actionable product requirements and embed compliance thinking in design from the start. You balance speed with defensibility in crypto and derivatives, owning novel risk decisions and documenting rationale. This role sits at the core of cross-functional collaboration to enable scalable, compliant product growth.

Responsibilities- Review new market categories and product features for regulatory exposure and provide actionable viability guidance
- Translate legal and compliance constraints into product requirements for engineering
- Contribute to the product roadmap by flagging regulatory risk and prioritizing initiatives
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to integrate legal thinking in design from the start
- Build internal frameworks to answer common legal questions without escalation
- Monitor regulatory developments in crypto, derivatives, and prediction markets and inform leadership
- Make fast, well-reasoned calls on novel legal risk and document rationale
- Own the decisions around regulatory risk in real time and communicate impact clearly
Key requirements- 8+ years at the intersection of legal and product, in-house or regulatory advisory embedded with a product team
- Juris Doctor (JD) required
- Experience in crypto
- Understanding of regulator perspectives and expectations
- Direct experience with CFTC regulation or derivatives compliance desired
- Comfort in fast-moving environments without large teams or formal playbooks
- Strong product instincts with experience in consumer product design and user flows
- Ability to translate legal considerations into actionable product guidance
