ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL- COUNSEL II Fair Labor Division

You join the Fair Labor Division to enforce Massachusetts wage-hour laws and public construction bidding rules, supporting workers' protections. You will handle civil, criminal, and administrative actions while engaging with communities to educate employers and employees. The role combines legal advocacy with public outreach, contributing to a mission-driven public protection team. This is a hands-on position at the intersection of enforcement, litigation, and policy interpretation, with a clear impact on workers' rights.

• Enforce Massachusetts labor standards across wage, overtime, minimum wage, child labor, and related statutes
• Maintain an active docket and prosecute violations in civil, criminal, and administrative forums
• Review U and T Visa law enforcement certification requests
• Engage with the public through community outreach and presentations on wage and hour laws

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Admission to the Massachusetts Bar
• At least three years of full-time or equivalent legal experience

• Strong research and writing abilities
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams under deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
