Overview In this role you will lead multiple projects developing advanced in vitro models, including organ-on-a-chip platforms and organoids, and integrate sensing with computational models. You will guide a cross-functional team, ensure robust data delivery, and represent CFD Research in client briefings. This is a leadership-heavy, research-driven position focused on translating prototypes into actionable capabilities for drug development and mechanistic studies. You will shape experiments and collaborate across disciplines to deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities- Oversee technical project execution for one or more development projects
- Guide scientists and engineers through research hurdles and project delivery
- Ensure robust data generation and oversee report creation
- Represent CFD Research in client briefings and progress updates (technical, schedule, budget)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CIVMS, electrochemical sensing, and PBPK modeling
Key requirements- PhD in biomedical engineering, biology, or related field with 7+ years of experience in developing complex in vitro models (or BS with 15 years)
- Proven track record leading cutting-edge R&D for prototypes (organ-on-chip, transwell, multi-organ systems)
- Experience translating bench-top prototypes into standardized, reproducible assays for drug screening
- Excellent written and verbal scientific communication
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
