Overview In this interim leadership role, you will partner with Operations and Finance to drive close accuracy, internal controls, and financial performance across shops, franchises, and supply chain. You will shape forecasting, profitability initiatives, and enterprise decision-making while building a high-performing accounting team. The position offers visibility to senior finance leadership and a mix of strategic and hands-on execution to support growth and transformation. You will lead SOX governance and ensure compliant reporting under US GAAP, contributing to operational excellence and scalable processes.
Responsibilities- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for shop, franchise, and supply chain accounting
- Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting per US GAAP and policies
- Analyze variances and communicate key drivers to leadership
- Support quarterly and annual SEC reporting for assigned areas
- Provide strategic oversight of company-owned shop accounting (revenue, labor accruals, leases)
- Lead franchise accounting (royalty revenue, fees, advertising funds, franchise receivables) and compliance
- Oversee supply chain accounting (inventory, cost accounting, reserves)
- Support openings, remodels, closures, acquisitions, and franchise development
- Own SOX controls and governance for shop/franchise/supply chain accounting
- Maintain strong internal controls and timely balance sheet reconciliations
Key requirements- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- CPA
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or public company)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, consolidations, intercompany, and equity method accounting
- Experience leading technical accounting analyses and working with external auditors
