Planner/Buyer

In this role you will plan and synchronize production schedules and materials to support manufacturing across BD. You will partner with operators, management, planners/buyers, and logistics to optimize flow, reduce inventory, and prevent outages that affect customers. You'll manage orders, coordinate with suppliers, and support new product runs while ensuring system reliability and on-time delivery. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that fuels BD's mission to advance health through dependable operations and continuous improvement.

• Establish and manage production schedules and ensure material availability
• Collaborate with production operators, management, planners/buyers, and logistics across BD
• Balance raw materials and supplies to minimize on-hand inventory
• Prevent material outages and production stoppages that could impact customers and revenue
• Maintain open orders and reflect them in the production plan
• Communicate schedules and material status with manufacturing
• Process and distribute Experimental Orders
• Review planned component purchases and convert to vendor purchase orders
• Interact with suppliers on open orders and change orders
• Engage with manufacturing floor to gather feedback on low component inventory levels
• Coordinate with other Planner/Buyers on component demands and finished goods shipments
• Ensure inventory integrity with manufacturing to maintain system reliability
• Assist with compliance measurement reporting systems
• Support new and experimental product runs with component changes
• Other duties as required to support the business goals

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Business
• 5 years in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management environment
• APICs Certification preferred
