Overview As Senior Project Buyer (Buyouts), you will lead procurement for large, high-value project buyouts, coordinating sourcing, negotiation, and execution to align with project schedules and cost objectives. You'll manage supplier relationships, deliveries, and commercial terms, supporting cross-functional teams to drive value and profitability. This role offers exposure to engineered-to-order projects and direct-to-site logistics, with a focus on cost control and risk management. You will influence outcomes through robust negotiations and proactive supplier management.

Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end procurement for project buyouts: sourcing, negotiation, award, and execution
- Prepare RFQs, evaluate quotes, negotiate pricing, lead times, delivery, and contractual terms
- Issue and manage purchase orders ensuring accuracy and alignment with specs
- Coordinate and manage drop-ship and direct-to-site deliveries to meet project milestones
- Manage vendor lead times and delivery commitments to satisfy timelines
- Provide project-wide updates to management, sales, and project managers
- Monitor supplier performance against delivery, quality, and commercial commitments
- Identify and mitigate supply chain, cost, and lead-time risks
- Explore cost reduction opportunities via negotiation, alternative sourcing, value engineering, and supplier engagement
- Review open order reports for on-time delivery and promise date integrity in Oracle
- Monitor market conditions and supplier trends to flag risks and opportunities
- Interface with Project Management, Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams as required
Key requirements- 10+ years of Procurement experience in manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environments
- Experience leading complex negotiations and high-value, project-based purchases
- Independent, self-directed work style with proven ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with engineered-to-order or industrial projects and coordinating drop-ship/direct-to-site logistics
- Optional: PM experience and knowledge of electrical components, electrical design, or advanced battery technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or Operations Management preferred; other relevant experience considered in lieu of degree
