Overview

As a Mid-Level Designer at PGAL, you contribute to design documentation through construction administration while mentoring in a collaborative studio. You will manage client contact, coordinate with consultants, and ensure design intent aligns with project standards. The role blends hands-on technical work with team-driven problem solving, within a culture that values initiative and professional growth. You will help shape projects across multiple sectors and scale design delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design documentation through construction administration
  • Demonstrate detailing and problem-solving across project types
  • Support construction administration activities for the design team
  • Process, log, and follow-up on submittals and RFIs
  • Communicate project issues with the team and consultants
  • Assess design intent against client expectations
  • Monitor documentation for standards compliance
  • Conduct site visits and document progress and conformance
  • Prepare field observation reports from site discussions
  • Produce design documentation using AutoCAD and Revit
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in architecture or construction firm
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of building technology fundamentals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with competing priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Newforma, Google Docs
  • Experience maintaining/updating web-based project documentation (Office365)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
