Overview In this role you will serve as the primary legal advisor to Corteva's People team and key leaders, guiding employment-related matters and leading investigations for ethics and compliance. You will shape employment practices across the organization and support cross-border initiatives from the Indianapolis HQ. Your work will balance practical HR legal support with rigorous inquiry in internal investigations, impacting risk management and company policy. Responsibilities- Advise on employment-related issues including hiring, performance management, leaves, accommodations, terminations, RIFs, wage and hour, benefits, and laws
- Draft and negotiate employment and separation agreements, offer letters, NDAs, and related contracts
- Manage regulatory inquiries and investigations (EEOC, DOL, OSHA, state agencies) and lead internal disputes
- Coordinate with outside/inside counsel for global employment practices and non-employee staffing
- Conduct and support sensitive ethics & compliance investigations and contribute to recommendations on discipline
- Serve on internal committees to report on investigations and actions related to employee conduct
- Vet terminations and help design selection criteria for RIFs and exit programs
- Handle risk assessment in employee claims and advise on privilege practices for investigations
Key requirements- Law degree and active attorney in good standing
- At least 5 years of experience handling employment matters and advising on privileged investigations
- Strong oral and written communication
