Legal Counsel

As Legal Counsel at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, you provide strategic legal and compliance support to global commercial operations. You will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, partnering with cross-functional teams to balance risk and drive growth. You'll streamline processes, maintain contract templates, and support enterprise priorities including M&A and regulatory initiatives. You operate with a global mindset, enabling informed decisions and sustainable expansion. • Lead review, drafting, and negotiation of complex global commercial agreements (sales, procurement, distribution, SaaS, licensing, joint development)
• Provide pragmatic legal counsel on commercial matters, compliance, and data privacy
• Improve legal operations: streamline processes, maintain global contract templates, standardize policies
• Support enterprise priorities (M&A, cross-functional initiatives) and collaborate with IP, regulatory, compliance, and privacy teams
• Partner with Beckman Coulter Life Sciences and Danaher legal network to lead initiatives and drive continuous improvement

• 3+ years as a licensed U.S. attorney in a top law firm and in-house environment
• Active U.S. Bar membership in good standing
• Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking, including mentoring and team building
• Extensive deal and negotiation experience with a track record of executed transactions (partnerships, collaborations, licensing, M&A, research agreements)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders; experience leveraging AI tools to improve legal processes
