Responsibilities- Prepares and reviews design computations, plan sets, and drawings per federal standards (USACE, NAVFAC, FHWA)
- Assists with development and coordination of submittals for federal agencies, ensuring accuracy and contract compliance
- Prepares and reviews technical specifications, reports, and correspondence aligned with federal guidelines
- Performs site visits, inspections, and field investigations on active federal project sites
- Interprets and applies federal, state, and local regulations, including environmental and permitting requirements
- Maintains organized project documentation in compliance with federal recordkeeping standards
- Applies codes and criteria specific to federal and civil infrastructure projects
- Develops clear, high-quality engineering deliverables for agency review
- Supports QA/QC processes to ensure deliverables meet standards and consistency
- Assists in managing project tasks within defined scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Collaborates with project teams, clients, and stakeholders including federal agency representatives
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Experience: no prior work experience required; internships in A/E preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or other discipline-specific programs preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
