Overview In this role you support rehabilitation services by assisting clinicians and handling essential admin tasks. You work closely with therapists, patients, and families to ensure smooth care delivery and accurate documentation, while maintaining compliant clinic operations. You will also handle scheduling, intake, and billing activities to help the department run efficiently. Responsibilities- Follow infection control policies and standards
- Safely operate and maintain rehab equipment; keep cleaning logs
- Ensure EOC aligns with JCAHO standards and assist with therapy tasks
- Communicate changes in patient status to therapists; support care plans
- Interact professionally with patients and families; explain procedures within scope
- Coordinate with other departments for interdisciplinary patient care
- Document treatment per policy; maintain accuracy of records
- Greet patients, verify identity, and provide visit information
- Schedule and reschedule patient visits; manage clinic communications
- Handle consents/authorizations, demographic and billing data, and payments
- Process end-of-day cash drawer, post payments, and send documentation to insurers
- Manage clinic inventory and fax documents for authorizations and signatures
Key requirements- High School Diploma
- BLS Certification with American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
