Overview In this open-rank faculty role, you will establish an independent, externally funded virology research program and contribute to all levels of education across undergraduate, graduate, and medical curricula. Responsibilities- Develop and lead an independent, externally funded research program in virology
- Contribute to undergraduate, graduate, and medical school teaching and mentorship
- Leverage in vivo and/or in vitro models, including organoid and iPSC/human tissue systems, to study viral diseases and host-pathogen interactions
- Collaborate with other departments to expand research strengths in virology and related areas
- Utilize SEBLAB facilities and resources to advance research objectives
- Aim to publish impactful findings and secure competitive extramural funding
- Participate in department and school-wide initiatives and service
- Contribute to the a culture of scientific and teaching excellence within a collaborative environment
Key requirements- Strong record of research productivity
- Active extramural funding commensurate with rank
- D.V.M., Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant field
- Ability to contribute to multiple educational levels and programs
