Overview As part of Garver's Buildings Group, you will develop fire protection designs for building projects, covering fire protection, suppression, and alarm systems. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and regional offices, ensuring design quality and on-time delivery through BIM and calculation tools. This role supports project lifecycle from concept to construction, contributing to safe, compliant building solutions. Responsibilities- Develop fire protection, suppression, and alarm system designs for building projects
- Coordinate with other disciplines and regional offices on project delivery
- Assist fire protection engineers in design, review and refinement of plans
- Produce construction drawings using BIM design software (e.g., Revit)
- Perform design calculations with software tools
- Manage multiple assignments with time and quality focus
- Adhere to QA/QC plans and project standards
- Pursue continuing education aligned with project needs and team goals
Key requirements- 5-10 years of building fire protection design and construction experience
- Knowledge of fire protection engineering principles for buildings
- Proven experience with detailed plans and specifications for building projects
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
