Overview

In this role you drive the transformation of actuarial modeling processes and analytics at SCOR. You will lead model development, maintenance, and process improvements across actuarial projects, partnering with Experience Analysis, Finance, and Pricing to define requirements and present results to senior management. You'll support annual assumption updates, inforce management, and entity optimization while ensuring controls and governance. This role blends technical modeling with cross-functional collaboration to deliver insightful, decision-ready analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Support actuarial modeling projects (annual assumption updates, inforce management, legal entity optimization)
  • Collaborate with valuation, governance, and reporting teams to improve models and processes
  • Define business requirements, update model capabilities, and interpret results for stakeholders
  • Perform financial impact assessments and present results to senior leadership
  • Maintain auditable controls, reconciliations, and documentation for valuation and reporting
  • Contribute to company-wide strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Support quarterly production work when needed
  • Build and maintain relationships across SCOR group teams
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of financial modeling leadership in insurance or reinsurance
  • Experience with actuarial modeling software (Prophet) and actuarial databases (SQL)
  • Experience with workflow tools (Alteryx) or scripting (Python) a plus
  • Experience with BI/analytics tools (Tableau)
  • Expertise in IFRS and Solvency II (or similar economic value methods); life/annuity products experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented and able to explain complex models
  • Ability to understand the broader impact of decisions and implement processes and controls
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
