Overview As Business Affairs Counsel, you will provide US-focused contractual and risk guidance to support business development, project procurement, and execution for major infrastructure initiatives. You will draft and negotiate contract documents, collaborate with global legal and functional teams, and oversee risk and disputes to protect the company. This remote role offers interaction with US, Canada, and Europe stakeholders and a pathway to impact large-scale projects. You will shape compliance and commercial strategy while enabling procurement and construction success.

Responsibilities- Provide contractual and risk advice for US business activities
- Develop and negotiate contract documents (Teaming Agreements, JV contracts, Project Head Agreements, Design-Build terms, vendor terms)
- Liaise with corporate legal counsel to align with corporate practices
- Oversee dispute litigation involvement related to company operations
- Maintain compliance with applicable statutes
- Implement and communicate risk management tools with leaders
- Direct risk and contractual aspects of Financial Close on projects
- Provide legal/commercial support for contracts, tenders, procurement and construction
- Advise on bonds, warranties, guarantees, and other financial securities
Key requirements- Minimum of 8 years of law practice experience in the United States
- Law Degree
- Membership in a Law Society
- English proficiency
