Overview In this role you will help drive project delivery for commercial construction by coordinating safety, schedule, budgets and trade partners. You will work closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure timely, quality results and to monitor project progress. The position focuses on projects generally under $5 million, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and close collaboration across the construction team. Responsibilities- Coordinate safety, budgets, schedules, and trade contractor coordination with project leadership
- Prepare and monitor project schedules and update master construction schedule
- Manage submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, ASIs, and OMs to support progress
- Oversee material procurement, fabrication status, and delivery
- Assist with payment requests, change orders, and cash flow management
- Lead or participate in project meetings and document minutes
- Review constructability and cost feasibility; assist with risk assessments
- Prepare scope of work matrices and performance expectations for trade contractors
- Monitor and respond to purchase requests, field orders, and architectural instructions
- Support close-out procedures, warranties, and project documentation
- Ensure adherence to IIF safety culture
- Participate in estimating and risk assessment processes
- Support minority participation requirements with trade contractors
- Analyze progress, costs, budgets, and cash flow
- Prepare monthly pay applications and ensure lien waivers are collected
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or higher in construction management, architecture, or engineering with 2+ years of related PM experience, or an associate degree with 4+ years of related PM experience
- Ability to read building plans and shop drawings; knowledge of safety standards
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, P6, Bluebeam, and Prolog
- Experience with submittal process, RFIs, ASIs, and change orders
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel up to 70+ miles and work in varying climates
