Overview In this role you lead architectural projects from concept through construction closeout, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver on design intent. You manage scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations while upholding quality and compliance. You mentor staff and foster a collaborative culture, driving high-impact outcomes for projects and clients. This position offers a chance to shape design delivery at a design-focused firm and work across disciplines to ensure cohesive, built results.
Responsibilities- Own the project lifecycle across planning, design development, construction documents, bidding, construction administration and closeout
- Manage scope, schedule and budget with work plans, milestone tracking, fee forecasting, and change/risk management
- Serve as primary client liaison, delivering updates and ensuring excellent client experience
- Coordinate architects, interior designers and consultants to maintain design cohesion and technical accuracy
- Handle contracts and proposals, assist with proposals, negotiate consultant agreements and support business development
- Oversee QA/QC reviews, code analysis, permitting documentation and adherence to firm standards
- Lead construction administration activities including submittals, RFIs, ASIs/PRs/COs, site visits and field reports
- Document rigorously with organized files, minutes, logs and status reports for stakeholders
- Mentor and manage staff, delegate tasks and foster a collaborative, accountable team environment
- Adapt to changing priorities and drive process improvements aligned with core values
Key requirements- Bachelor in Architecture
- 8+ years of architectural experience
- 2+ years leading projects or teams
- Registered Architect (RA)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders
- Strong planning, communication and mentoring skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and PDF mark-up tools (Bluebeam)
