Overview As an Architect at HDR, you contribute to the design and delivery of spaces that advance community well-being worldwide. You will work within HDR's architecture practice, collaborating with architects, planners, designers, and technical specialists to tackle complex design challenges with creativity, sustainability, and resilience. You'll take ownership on phases of revenue-producing projects, apply standard techniques, and prepare reports and specifications. This role offers meaningful impact by shaping environments across civic, educational, and cultural settings within an inclusive, employee-owned culture.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, select and apply standard architectural techniques and criteria with limited adaptations
- Perform assignments with specific objectives requiring investigation of a limited set of variables
- Follow instructions on assignment objectives with possible solutions
- Perform architectural assignments with direction but limited design responsibility
- Recommend and select procedures
- Write reports and specifications covering architectural matters
- Take responsibility for phases of individual revenue-producing projects as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Registered Architect
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
