Overview In this role you lead store construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring they stay within scope, budget, and schedule. You act as the company's representative on-site, coordinating with contractors and vendors while upholding core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. You'll manage cross-functional communication, review documents, and optimize capital investments to minimize losses and maximize ROI. This position offers ownership of complex remodels, expansions, and fuel project initiatives within a retail environment.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize and manage resources for cost-effective projects within scope and budget
- Coordinate remodel activities to minimize sales and EBITDA loss
- Review proposals and award contracts suitable for bidding and installation
- Ensure contractors perform per plans and maintain documentation throughout construction
- Provide timely and accurate information to contractors and vendors
- Prepare ROI analyses for capital investments and manage documentation
- Rely on established guidelines to perform moderately complex tasks
- Train and supervise department members on tasks of varying complexity
- Ensure compliance with SWPPP, OSHA regulations and capital management practices
Key requirements- Bachelor in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Construction Management or related field OR 5+ years of construction management experience
- Ability to read and understand construction documents
- Ability to lead retail management and contractors on moderately difficult or difficult projects
- Ability to budget and organize orders for a project
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proven supervisory/leadership, conflict management and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication with all levels and external vendors
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to travel independently (50%)
