Overview In this role you will join a premier management-side Labor & Employment practice in New York, handling sophisticated employment matters for a diverse client base. You will work closely with experienced colleagues on high-stakes litigation and advisory work, including restrictive covenants and executive compensation issues. Responsibilities- Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation from inception to resolution
- Advise employers on complex workplace law issues, compliance, and risk management
- Draft and negotiate employment agreements and executive compensation provisions
- Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs
Key requirements- JD from a top-tier law school
- Active New York Bar in good standing
- 5-7 years of substantive labor and employment law experience
- Significant employment litigation experience in state and federal courts
- Experience defending and prosecuting breaches of restrictive covenants
- Experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements, including executive compensation provisions
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating within a team
