Overview In this role you drive design, preconstruction and construction for retrofit data center projects. You will collaborate with Facilities, Designers, Engineers and Operations to deliver base-build programs and capital budgets. You'll manage entitlements, multi-phase site development and procurement, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Your work enables QTS to lead in mission-critical data center real estate and digital transformation. This is a hands-on, cross-functional leadership role with a clear impact on project success and stakeholder value.

Responsibilities- Manage multiple campus projects with updated budgets, schedules, and status reports
- Prepare and present development program updates for executive reviews
- Develop base-build programs and capital budgets with design and construction teams
- Oversee entitlements and permitting for sites
- Implement multi-phased development plans to meet time, budget, and quality targets
- Draft scopes of work and participate in procurement and cost estimates
- Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning
- Coordinate with procurement on equipment delivery
- Monitor budget, cost-to-date, and project schedules
- Review and approve contractor pay applications and change orders
- Establish site security procedures and plan product deployments
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers/Product teams for custom deal solutions
- Build relationships with stakeholders and represent QTS in OAC meetings
- Support due diligence for new sites and enhance project management processes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
- Five+ years in commercial construction with Lump Sum, and Design Build delivery methods
- Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint for executive updates, Excel for budgets)
- Ability to travel up to 25% of time
- Knowledge of coordinating design, construction, commissioning services
- Experience managing budgets and schedules
- Experience with MEP trades
- Desirable MBA or related master's degree
- Desirable experience with mission-critical data center facilities
