Overview

As Corporate Counsel at Restaurant365, you will be the second member of the legal team, reporting to the Head of Legal. You will draft, review, and negotiate core agreements, support the contracting process, and help manage data privacy, product legal matters, and governance. You will partner with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal risk in a high-growth environment and implement practical, cost-effective solutions. This role offers an opportunity to shape the company's legal operations and advise leadership on strategic risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate, draft, review, and advise on key agreements (customer, vendor, partner contracts, NDAs)
  • Improve contracting processes with Deal Desk and select contract management systems; automate sales contract workflows
  • Support data privacy, product legality, litigation/disputes, internal investigations, ethics/compliance, HR/employment law, and M&A diligence
  • Assist with corporate governance, financing, and equity matters
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel; monitor emerging legal risks; provide pragmatic guidance to leadership
  • Understand company operations, products, and sales model to mitigate risks and propose solutions
  • Identify appropriate use of AI tools and document AI workflow to stakeholders
Key requirements
  • 1-3 years of corporate legal experience
  • Juris Doctor Degree and Bachelor's Degree
  • Licensed to practice law in a U.S. state or D.C.
  • Experience negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and advising on contracts
  • Strong written/verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with AI tools and ability to leverage AI in a small legal team
  • Pragmatic with high-growth tolerance; strong research and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
