Preconstruction Manager

In this role you will lead preconstruction efforts to set projects up for successful delivery, aligning client needs with company goals. You will guide the project team, refine cost and schedule estimates, and advocate for owners throughout the transition to operations. You'll collaborate across functions to ensure profitable and timely project turnovers. This position offers the chance to influence how BIM, LEED, and lean methods are applied to drive value in diverse projects.

• Manage the preconstruction process ensuring client needs and company goals are met
• Document progress through schematic to construction document phases and communicate with the team
• Develop accurate estimates, scheduling, strategy, and communications for preconstruction
• Monitor weekly progress, trigger changes to stay on schedule, flag cost/schedule risks
• Assess local market logistics and subcontractor/supplier impacts on costs and workload
• Make timely risk-based decisions and guide project team accordingly
• Collaborate with operations, BD, and preconstruction teams to ensure smooth turnover and profitability
• Support BD in RFP processes including schedules, GC scoring, and interview prep
• Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners
• Utilize BIM/LEED/LEAN concepts to optimize project delivery

• 10+ years of experience in estimating and/or project management in construction
• Experience with a GC on commercial projects (aviation, education, senior living, public work, hospitality)
• Experience partnering with operations, estimating, and business development teams
