Responsibilities- Lead R&D projects focusing on polymeric foams and structure-property-performance relationships
- Design, synthesize, and optimize polymer formulations for electronic-grade materials used in semiconductor devices
- Develop and scale up manufacturing processes compatible with cleanroom standards and low outgassing
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product teams to translate research into scalable commercial solutions
- Evaluate raw materials, additives, and processing aids to enhance foam properties and dielectric performance
- Utilize analytical tools (DSC, TGA, FTIR, SEM, rheometry) to assess material behavior under process and environmental conditions
- Stay updated on trends in polymer science, semiconductor materials, and advanced manufacturing
- Prepare technical reports, patents, and present findings to internal and external audiences
Key requirements- 5+ years in polymer foam development, semiconductor materials, or related process development roles
- Strong knowledge of polymer engineering principles and foam morphology
- Hands-on experience with silicon-compatible polymer materials (low-k dielectrics, photoresists, encapsulants)
- Proficiency in DOE, Six Sigma, and experimental design
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and innovative mindset
- Experience with FTIR, DSC, TGA, rheology, SEC, and microscopy
- DOE and statistical process optimization knowledge
- Exposure to high-performance or industrial-scale manufacturing environments
