Overview In this role you will lead capital construction for HelloFresh Fulfillment Centers, overseeing planning, design review, and on-site execution to deliver best-in-class facilities. You will drive budget, schedule, quality, and safety across multiple projects, coordinating with operations, engineering, and external partners. The role offers impact through large-scale upgrades, new builds, and retrofits that support a scalable, customer-focused fulfillment network.

Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and execute capital construction projects (up to $20M+ per project)
- Coordinate construction logistics, timelines, and stake holder alignment
- Manage project budgets, RFPs, terms negotiation with professional entities
- Perform frequent site visits to monitor quality, safety, and contract compliance
- Interface with authorities for permits and inspections
- Liaise with contractors on bidding, scheduling, billing, and execution
- Review project design documents (drawings/specifications) and manage documentation
- Prepare status reports and communicate project progress to leadership and stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date building/plot plans for planning and control purposes
- Ensure adherence to budgets and quality standards across multiple projects
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Fulfillment Operations, Engineering, Logistics, and external professionals
- Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors
- Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Key requirements- 8+ years of construction experience
- 5+ years in building e-commerce fulfillment/distribution centers
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field (advantage)
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local facility buildout regulations
- Experience negotiating contracts with contractors and vendors
- Understanding of Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Codes
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to read/interpret complex construction drawings
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Food industry experience a plus
