Overview In this role you architect high performance PCIe controller products for data centers and AI applications, reporting to the VP of Engineering. You'll collaborate with product, field, and customers to shape features and timelines, while guiding design and verification teams toward optimized performance and power. You act as the technical lead at standards bodies and drive differentiation through innovative features and architectural solutions. This leadership position blends deep domain expertise with cross functional influence to grow Rambus SIP PCIe business.

Responsibilities- Own architecture specification for Rambus PCIe controller products
- Collaborate with product management, marketing, field teams, and customers to identify feature priorities
- Coordinate with logic design, verification, and physical design to deliver high performance, PPA optimized products and realistic timelines
- Lead technical reviews (implementation, verification, PRD/ERD)
- Represent the SIP team at PCI Sig and other standards bodies
- Incorporate innovative features with other Rambus teams to maintain PCIe leadership
- Protect Rambus innovations via patent disclosures
- evangelize PCIe controller products through publications and events
- Provide architectural solutions to customers to grow Rambus SIP PCIe business
- Train and enable field teams with product knowledge alongside marketing and product management
Key requirements- BS/MS with 20+ years in semiconductor industry
- at least 10 years in PCIe controller logic design and/or architecture
- Hands on RTL coding, logic design, physical design, and DV techniques
- Knowledge of PCIe and AXI protocols; CXL knowledge is a plus
- Front end ASIC development flow knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in a fast paced environment
- Excellent soft skills and cross functional collaboration
- Ability to make timely decisions based on data
- Technical presales experience is desirable
- Willingness to travel to Rambus sites and customer locations
