Overview

As Sr HR Business Partner at ABB in Pinetops, NC, you will develop and execute people strategies aligned with manufacturing needs. You'll partner with plant leadership to support the employee lifecycle, drive HR processes, and serve as the HR representative with business leaders. The role is onsite and centers on delivering value through collaboration and continuous improvement. You will influence behavior and change initiatives to support the plant's goals and ABB's mission to run what runs the world.

Responsibilities
  • Provide HR support for a defined team/location and partner with managers
  • Develop and implement people strategies with leadership
  • Execute HR processes across the employee lifecycle
  • Facilitate change management and drive continuous improvement
  • Represent HR in the business and build strong relationships with leaders and employees
  • Ensure compliance with US employment laws and internal policies
  • Collaborate with on-site HR teams and centralized services to deliver HR solutions
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Industrial Relations, or related discipline and 10+ years of HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years HR experience in a large manufacturing environment with expertise in employee relations, organizational development, staffing, compensation, and performance management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US employment law and compliance
  • On-site work experience required
  • Work authorization to work in the United States for ABB
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with managers, supervisors, and employees at all levels
  • Strong collaboration and partnership orientation
  • Experience with Workday HR systems
  • Knowledge of employee investigations in a non-union environment
  • HR solutions delivery through collaboration with on-site and centralized teams
