Overview In this role, you serve as the lead in-house advisor on U.S. securities law across Flow Traders' ETF, cash equity, digital-asset, and tokenization业务. You will guide trading, business, and operations teams, support regulatory and transactional work, and monitor evolving rules to mitigate legal risk in a fast-paced, globally integrated environment. You will collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Business Development as part of Flow Traders' global Legal team, with a strong focus on digital assets and market infrastructure. Your work shapes product launches, regulatory strategy, and cross-border compliance.
Compensation / Benefits- base salary range to $200,000-$250,000

Responsibilities- Serve as lead resource on U.S. securities law (Securities Act, Exchange Act, Advisers Act) and broker-dealer rules.
- Advise on regulatory requirements for trading, broker-dealer practices, and new product development.
- Provide guidance on digital asset classification, tokenized securities, and applying securities framework to blockchain products.
- Monitor SEC, FINRA, CFTC, and FinCEN developments and communicate implications to stakeholders.
- Advise on structuring and launching new business lines and geographic expansion.
- Identify regulatory risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate trading, vendor, technology, and partnership agreements.
- Support strategic transactions (investments, JVs, acquisitions) involving digital assets or infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain standard-form agreements, playbooks, and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Collaborate with Global Legal to ensure consistent processes and standards across jurisdictions.
- Manage outside counsel, including scope, work allocation, and legal spend.
- Provide input, mentorship, and collaboration within the legal team.
Key requirements- J.D. from an accredited law school; active U.S. bar admission (New York strongly preferred)
- 6 years of relevant legal experience in a complex regulatory environment
- Significant experience at a top law firm or in-house in financial services or regulatory bodies (SEC/FINRA/CFTC)
- Deep expertise in U.S. federal securities law and related rules for broker-dealers
- Experience advising on digital assets, crypto, blockchain, and token classification
- Strong understanding of trading and market structure (equities, fixed income, ETPs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex issues for non-lawyers
