Overview In this role you help shape Wolters Kluwer Health offerings by advising on commercial, regulatory, and data/privacy matters. You will negotiate software, licensing, and services agreements and supervise outside counsel to support global healthcare initiatives. Your work intersects with HIT, AI technologies, and privacy rules to manage risk and enable strategic growth. This is a collaborative, cross functional role focused on delivering high quality legal services in a fast moving health tech environment.

Responsibilities- Structure, draft and negotiate customer agreements (SaaS, licensing, subscriptions, implementation)
- Negotiate strategic alliances, co-development, and distribution arrangements
- Draft and review data processing agreements and content licenses for RAG/LLM/AI use
- Counsel on HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, and U.S./EU healthcare laws impacting offerings
- Manage external counsel and collaborate with IP, litigation, regulatory, HR/M&A teams
- Develop legal knowledge of WKH products, markets, and regulatory environment
- Build relationships with senior leadership to ensure high-quality legal services
- Advise on risk exposures in development of new offerings and marketing activities
Key requirements- 7+ years of corporate/commercial legal experience
- Experience with healthcare transactional and regulatory matters
- Background in HIT and digital health concepts, software licensing, and SaaS
- Understanding of healthcare laws/regulations in the U.S. and EU
- Admitted to practice law in the candidate's state
- Experience in both top-tier law firm and in-house settings (preferred)
