Overview In this role you support National Guard and reserve members, spouses, and veterans across Florida by delivering career coaching, case management, and job placement services. You will help clients set goals, develop resumes, and connect with employers, education, or apprenticeships within a mission-driven, merit-based organization. You'll run workshops, stay aligned with labor market trends, and collaborate with HR to integrate career development with talent strategies. This opportunity combines frontline coaching with program-wide impact in a government-support context.

Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive career assessments to identify client strengths, skills and aspirations
- Assist clients in setting short- and long-term career goals
- Provide guidance on resume writing, cover letters, and job search strategies
- Develop and deliver workshops or training sessions on career development topics
- Identify skill gaps and recommend development opportunities
- Guide career transitions including promotions and lateral moves
- Facilitate mock interviews to improve interview skills
- Collaborate with HR to align career development initiatives with talent management
- Stay informed about industry trends and labor market dynamics
- Assist with negotiating job offers, promotions, and career opportunities
- Weekend support may be required with adjusted weekday schedules
- Travel up to 11-20% as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions
- Maintain documentation and records for program compliance
- Support accessibility and accommodations as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of four years of experience in employment services programs, personnel management, or human resources
- Strong understanding of career development and counseling techniques
- Ability to build rapport with individuals at all levels
- Familiarity with various job markets and knowledge of local and national markets
- Proficiency in career counseling techniques and use of assessment tools
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
- Previous experience in career counseling or employment coaching
- Experience organizing and conducting workshops or seminars
- Strong network of industry contacts and employers
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Empathy and genuine interest in helping others succeed
- Knowledge of job search strategies and resume building
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping
- Outstanding communication, influencing abilities, and client focus
- Professional proficiency in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain liability insurance
- Ability to pass a federal background check including fingerprinting
