Overview

In this role, you advise TikTok's U.S. immigration programs in a global Corporate Services Legal context. You will align immigration strategy with business goals, guiding cross-functional partners and supervising external counsel. You'll translate legal requirements into scalable operational processes, supporting large-scale workforce transitions and complex cases. Your work helps ensure compliant, efficient immigration programs that enable mobility and growth across the company.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance on U.S. immigration compliance, workforce planning, and risk mitigation in collaboration with internal teams
  • Oversee external immigration counsel, validating advice against business interests and compliance posture
  • Lead readiness for USCIS site visits, FDNS audits, and government investigations with proactive planning
  • Coordinate with Tax, Export Control, Information Security, and other partners to assess holistic immigration-related risk
  • Monitor changes in U.S. immigration law and advise stakeholders on regulatory impact for nonimmigrant and immigrant programs
  • Design and drive operational processes for immigration programs, including tools, templates, process maps, SOPs, and internal training
  • Advise on immigration strategy for large-scale workforce transitions, entity restructuring, and high-volume visa programs (e.g., H-1B lottery)
  • Support teams on complex immigration cases requiring escalation beyond routine processing
  • Translate legal requirements into measurable compliance outcomes and end-to-end accountability
Key requirements
  • Juris Doctorate (ABA-accredited) or equivalent
  • Experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house counsel
  • Extensive U.S. employment-based immigration experience (H-1B, L-1, TN, I-140, EB-1, PERM, etc.)
  • Experience with immigration compliance audits, site visits, or government investigations
  • Experience advising on large-scale immigration programs or corporate restructuring involving mobility
