Overview In this role you will ensure secure, scalable, and highly available Java-based application environments. You will apply SRE practices to improve performance and reliability while supporting enterprise systems in a hybrid Dallas setting. Responsibilities- Manage application environments by monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and deploying code changes to maintain stable performance and service levels
- Review performance trends and recommend improvements for efficiency, stability, and data integrity
- Apply advanced administration and debugging techniques to resolve complex issues
- Mentor and coach IT staff to strengthen technical capabilities and handle complex assignments
- Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual effort and standardize processes
- Define and implement application administration standards to ensure SOX compliance
- Conduct risk assessments related to IT security functions; ensure availability, integrity, and compliance
- Develop and maintain documentation for system maintenance, change management, and recovery procedures
- Evaluate and test backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and recoverability
- Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their relevance for business use
- Maintain deep knowledge of cloud architecture and its impact on performance, reliability, and cost
- Research, recommend, and implement technology enhancements and new solutions
Key requirements- 4+ years supporting Java-based applications in production
- Experience with JBoss, Apache Tomcat, IBM MQ / IBM Integration Bus
- Azure and Power Platform administration
- UC4 / Automic or similar workload scheduling tools
- SSO integration and support
- Application performance monitoring and observability tools
- PowerShell, Python, Unix/Linux shell scripting
- SQL development and support for SQL Server and Oracle
- AI application development and system integration
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or a related field
