Overview

In this role you will lead aviation civil construction projects, focusing on runway/taxiway and related pavements for the Tucson Airport Authority. You will manage project delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with contract documents and regulations. You'll drive scope, schedule, and cost performance while communicating with contractors, subconsultants, and government stakeholders. This position offers impact through shaping airport infrastructure and maintaining key client relationships within a safety-first, professional firm.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project management and construction administration for runway/taxiway and civil works, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Schedule, mentor, and manage staff for successful project outcomes
  • Develop scope, monitor scope changes, and oversee commercial performance to meet project goals
  • Oversee preparation and approval of monthly reports, contract reviews, estimates, and bid/proposal packages
  • Communicate with contractors, inspection personnel, utility companies, and subconsultants; ensure clear documentation
  • Monitor contract financial data and request adjustments as needed
  • Assist in responses to RFPs and presentations to win new work and maintain client relationships with FAA, ADOT, and other entities
  • Adhere to ethical standards and WSP Code of Conduct in all decisions
  • Travel as needed to support project needs
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field with 12+ years in airport pavement and civil construction
  • Familiarity with FAA and governmental agency policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proven contract administration experience including cost reconciliations, scheduling, as-builts, and close-out documentation
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies
