Overview

In this role you will provide legal counsel to Colliers' commercial real estate service lines, focusing on brokerage. You will negotiate, review and draft contracts, and guide risk management while supporting senior colleagues. You'll build collaborative relationships across the organization to ensure aligned objectives and service levels. This is an opportunity to influence outcomes in a fast-paced, client-centric real estate environment and contribute to the firm's growth as an industry leader.

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal counsel to multiple service lines and actively resolve legal matters
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to service line professionals to support their goals
  • Review internal shared services docs, including vendor agreements and procurement documents
  • Support senior legal colleagues and leadership with research and project work
  • Build positive, collaborative relationships to ensure alignment on objectives and SLAs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school; active State Bar membership in good standing
  • 3-8 years of legal experience, preferably in-house within commercial real estate or a related field
  • In-house CRE or professional services experience preferred but not required
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong business acumen with ability to provide practical legal risk advice
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills; ability to work independently and in a team
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
